Prayer Intentions: For all who are weary, that in Christ they would find rest for their souls.
Theme: The Soul. In our readings today, we hear the word ‘life’ repeated several times, but as we listen we might think of the word ‘soul’ instead, as some older Biblical translations used. Our readings talk about the soul as that inner part of ourselves that only we ourselves and God knows, and from which our thoughts, feelings, and prayers spring. We hear how our circumstances affect the soul, and Jesus even warns us against losing our soul.
